April is a very sweet TB type mare that is just a lover. She needed a special home were she would get her special one on one time. We are very happy that Melissa has decided to take her as her own. A great couple and a great team for the future!!!

Nicky is a 16.2HH registered TB mare with Oldenburg approval, which means if she was bred with an Oldenburg stallion and had a foal that foal could be registered Oldenburg. She found her 'forever home' as a trail horse and maybe she will get that chance to be a mom again. Nicky so LOVES being a mom. He future is bright and we wish her the best in her new home. Thank you Lanora!!

1/10/2008 Freckles went to a very cute little girl and her special mom. Click here to see the news brodcast of the scam this mother and daughter got caught up in, by a woman who falsely advertised horses and sold more some horses several times. Here is a copy and paste of the email she sent me after adopting the very special Freckles!
"Hi Jennifer,
I wanted to thank you for letting us adopt Freckles. Sammy is so thrilled to be getting such a sweet horse. She spent the other day making a sign to put up on her stall door for her so that everyone would know her name.
After seeing the uglier side of the horse business when we were the victims of a lady that sells sick and injured horses that she picks up at the auction and sells them to people claiming to be registered finished show horses in great health worth many thousands of dollars it is nice to find an honest hard working person that is trying to help animals.
The work you do there at the rescue is very important and I am glad that there are people like you out there that are willing to go the extra mile to help horses in need. We don't want to think what would happen to some of the horses if you would not be able to do what you do."

Shorty needed a special. home and family. He is a very nice horse, but has a perminate lamness that makes it so he will not be able to be ridden by an adult or ridden very hard. He is now happily being a backyard pet with a family that does nothing but love him. Shorty won the HORSE LOTO! Horses like Shorty very often are given up on by their owners and sent to the auction houses and then typically bought by a 'kill buyer' to send to slaughter. Heather and her family are angles for taking Shorty and giving him a nice place to live. Thank you and continue to enjoy him.

Kona found a new home. Thank you Leah for giving him such a nice home in LA ,CA. You would never think there would be a horse ranch where Kona is now living, but there it was! He is living in the upper class of the equine world. Good luck to Kona and Leah - what a great pair!
